Your Insider Guide to the 2025 TYBA Charter Show
The sixth edition of the TYBA Yacht Charter Show is set to take place this week, from 9–13 May 2025 at the prestigious D-Marin Göcek Marina in Turkey. Organised by the Turkish Yacht Brokers Association (TYBA), this trade-only event has become a cornerstone of the Eastern Mediterranean yachting calendar, offering industry professionals an exclusive platform to explore a curated selection of luxury charter yachts, network with peers, and gain insights into the region's burgeoning yacht charter market.

Göcek: the jewel of the Turkish Riviera
Nestled along the sun-drenched coastline of southwestern Turkey, Göcek is more than just a marina town; it's a gateway to some of the most picturesque cruising grounds in the Eastern Mediterranean. D-Marin Göcek Marina, the event's venue, is renowned for its world-class facilities and stunning natural surroundings. With its calm, protected waters and easy access to the famed "12 Islands," Göcek offers an idyllic setting for the show, blending modern infrastructure with scenic beauty.

A showcase of luxury and tradition
Attendees can expect to explore over 50 luxury yachts, ranging from sleek motor yachts and contemporary sailing vessels to the iconic Turkish gulets. These traditional wooden sailing yachts, handcrafted by local shipwrights, offer a unique blend of old-world charm and modern luxury. One notable example is the 56-metre gulet Yazz, featuring five cabins, expansive lounge areas, and a Jacuzzi on the top deck. The show also marks the debut of an 81-metre superyacht built by Oceanco, highlighting the event's growing international appeal.
Culinary excellence and mixology mastery
The TYBA Yacht Charter Show is not just about yachts; it's a celebration of the lifestyle that accompanies luxury yachting. A highlight of the event is the Chef's Competition, where superyacht chefs are challenged to reimagine Istanbul's iconic street food into gourmet creations. Dishes like stuffed mussels, kokoreç, and simit are transformed into fine-dining experiences, judged on originality, technical difficulty, presentation, and flavour.

Engaging seminars and networking opportunities
Beyond the yachts and culinary delights, the show offers a series of insightful seminars covering topics such as the history of Turkish yacht building, the evolution of the TYBA contract, marketing strategies in the yacht charter business, and sustainable cruising practices. These sessions provide valuable knowledge for industry professionals looking to deepen their understanding of the region's yachting landscape.
