Upcoming yachting and charter events you can’t miss this Spring

Before the Mediterranean yachting season begins to boom in late May, the Spring yachting calendar is packed with exciting yachting and charter events.

Here is a summary of the don’t-miss yachting and charter events coming up this Spring:

Palm Beach International Boat Show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show is an annual event showcasing luxury yachts, boats, and marine accessories. This year, PBIBS takes place from 21 to 24 March.

The show will host a large collection of charter and yachts on the market, set against the backdrop of the picturesque Palm Beach waterfront.

Some of the impressive charter yachts attending the show include the iconic 90.1m motor yacht Nero, the 57.03m Trinity motor yacht Liberty, the 55m Benetti motor yacht Next Chapter and the 47m Feadship motor yacht Berilda.

MYBA

This year, the 34th edition of the MYBA Charter Show will be held in Genoa, Italy at the Marina Molo Vecchio from 22-25 April.

Throughout the four-day show, a full agenda is planned. “Attendees can expect interesting seminars, entertaining cocktails and two competitions for the crew: the MYBA Superyacht Chefs’ competition and All Hands on Deck,” said Judith Estrella, Chair of the MYBA Charter Boat Show Panel.

Some of the charter fleet’s finest vessels will be present at the show, from 20 metres all the way up to over 90 metres in length.

The line up currently includes the 97.20-metre, recently-refitted Lürssen vessel Carinthia VII, the 85.6-metre Derecktor motor yacht Aquila and the brand new 77-metre Golden Yachts motor yacht Malia.

Palma International Boat Show and Palma Superyacht Village

From 25 to 28 April 2024, Palma International Boat Show will take place in the Moll Vell Marina, Palma and will host the Palma Superyacht Village.

The show presents some of the best 24m+ superyachts that are currently on the international brokerage and charter market.

Some of the yachts on the attending list include the 40m Benetti SpA motor yacht Alegre and the 42.84m Abeking & Rasmussen sailing yacht Asgard.

MEDYS

The Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) will return to Nafplion, Greece this Spring, from 27 April to 1 May. The event highlights luxury yachts and maritime services in the Mediterranean region.

MEDYS offers a platform for yacht enthusiasts, brokers, and industry professionals to explore the finest offerings in the yachting world while enjoying the beauty of the Mediterranean coastline.

Almost 100 yachts are currently on the exhibitor list, including the 95m Golden Yachts motor yacht Opari, the 63.8m Elsflether Verft motor yacht Magna Grecia and the 52-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Xasteria.

TYBA

The fifth edition of TYBA will take place at D Marin Marina Göcek, Turkey, between the 3 and 7 May. The show showcases a wide range of charter vessels, both motor yachts and sailing yachts, including a pristine selection of Turkish gulets.

This year, the yacht lineup includes the 42.6m CRN motor yacht Lady I, the 47m Turk Yacht motor yacht North Wind and the custom 42.3m sailing yacht Son of Wind.

LATEST CHARTER UPDATES

🚀 Welcome back: The 65.2m custom built sailing yacht Lamima has rejoined the Camper and Nicholsons charter fleet.

She is the world’s largest sailing yacht for charter, and is available for charter in Southeast Asia from $175,000 p/w all-inclusive.

🌅 Ekka Yachts announced an exclusive offer: Enjoy a 15% when chartering the 47m Sanlorenzo 500 EXP M/Y Para Bellum for 2-week charters in the following periods:

• May 29 to June 12: France to Sicily

• June 14 to June 28: Sicily to Croatia

🌟 New to the charter market: Cecil Wright adds the 44m Conrad motor yacht Extra Time to the charter market.

She will join Cecil Wright’s central agency for charter fleet following her scheduled delivery to her owner in late April, and will be available in the West Mediterranean starting in July 2024. 🌊

📣 New to fleet: the 42.29m Holland Jachtbouw sailing yacht Fabulous Character is now available to charter through Northrop and Johnson.

She will cruise the Mediterranean in the summer and The Bahamas and Caribbean in the winter.

Charters start at $150,000 per week, plus expenses. 💰

Fraser Yachts advertised a special offer: The owner of the 47.55m motor yacht Fortuna is offering his yacht at a 7% discount!

💰 Here are the details of the offer:

• Period: 6-16 May 2024

• Cruising area: South of France

• Weekly Rate: €240,870 + all (instead of €259,000)

• Please note that the principal charterer must be resident outside the EU.

☀️ International Yacht Register announced a price drop on the 36m motor yacht Calypso I.

Her weekly rate, for a charter from Marina di Stabia, Italy to Kos, Greece, between the 14 or 15 May until 21 or 22 June, has been reduced from to €148,500 to €120,000. ☀️

💰 Discounts: Ocean Independence offers a reduced rate on the 26.8m motor yacht C-Daze.

She can be chartered for $68,000 per week (plus expenses) during the summer season, in the Caribbean & Bahamas.

🏖 New to fleet: 40m Aegean Yacht motor yacht Donna Del Mare joins the Fraser Yachts charter fleet.

She is currently undergoing a major refit that includes changing the hull colour to light blue. 🖌

Donna Del Mare will be available for charter from 1st April to 15th September 2024.

Broker bonus: The 73m Lürssen motor yacht Coral Ocean is available for charter in the Mediterranean through Ahoy Club this summer season. 🐚

Ahoy Club offer a €50,000 broker bonus for any bookings confirmed by 31 May which equal or exceed two weeks.
