Burgess and Joro have announced that the 195-metre explorer yacht REV Ocean will be available for charter from 2027 on, unveiling the first interior renderings of the highly anticipated vessel.

REV Ocean construction timeline (Burgess)

Built by Norwegian shipyard Vard Group AS, with exterior styling by Espen Øino International and interiors by H2 Yacht Design, REV Ocean will blend luxury with scientific exploration. Combining Luxury with Scientific Exploration

In “Science Mode,” 75% of REV Ocean’s expeditions will focus on oceanographic research, playing a vital role in marine conservation. The remaining 25% of voyages, or “Expedition Mode,” will allow guests to take part in hands-on science projects, offering an educational and impactful experience.

REV Ocean also boasts autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), two helipads, and state-of-the-art diving facilities, making her ideal for exploring remote locations.

REV Ocean (@rev_ocean) shared these photos with the caption:

In collaboration with VARD, we hosted over 20 Norwegian journalists for a press tour aboard what will become the world’s largest research and expedition vessel, REV Ocean.

Researchers, innovators, technology experts, philanthropists, and ocean enthusiasts will soon get the opportunity to apply for ship time onboard to help find solutions to the environmental problems in the ocean. 💙

A huge thank you to the ⭐ team at REV Ocean and VARD for making the tour a fantastic experience for everyone! And most of all, thanks to Kjell Inge Røkke who continues to put all efforts to turn such an ambitious project into reality. 🙏

In February, the ship will be delivered from VARD, and then we will sail down to the Netherlands for the final phase of construction. The first planned expedition is in 2027. More exciting news to come!
