Exclusive: MYBA and MEDYS announce dates for 2025 shows

The dates for the Mediterranean Yacht Show and the MYBA Charter Show have been announced for 2025. Also known as MEDYS, next year’s edition will be the 10th event in the Association's history, while MYBA will be celebrating the 35th show.

Organised by the Greek Yachting Association, MEDYS will take place in Nafplio, Greece from Saturday 3 May to Wednesday 7 May 2025. The event will follow the format of previous years and will host an impressive lineup of superyachts.

Michael Skoulikidis, President of the GYA, told Yacht Charter Market, “Each year, the announcement of the dates for the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) fills us with great pleasure and excitement, as it marks a thrilling and highly productive period of preparation for an amazing event recognised as the world’s largest crewed yacht charter show.

We are thrilled to announce that the 10th Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) will take place from Saturday 3 May to Wednesday 7 May in the picturesque town of Nafplio. This milestone event celebrates a decade of showcasing the finest yachts and services, as well as the exceptional hospitality for which Greece is renowned. MEDYS has become a cornerstone of the global yachting calendar, and we are excited to welcome industry professionals and brokers from around the world to experience the uniqueness of Greek yachting.”

Before confirming the 2025 show dates, the GYA liaised and aligned with MYBA, the organisers of the MYBA Charter Show, to ensure the chosen dates would allow industry professionals to attend both events easily.

The MYBA Charter Show will precede the MEDYS, taking place from Monday 28 April to Thursday 1 May 2025, at a location that will be revealed shortly by MYBA. This year’s MYBA show was held in Genoa, after five successful years in Barcelona.

LATEST CHARTER UPDATES

Edmiston announced that the 43-metre Benetti motor yacht Diane is available for charter with a 15% discount from 10 to 17 July in the South of France.

Fraser Yachts welcomed the brand new Azimut 29.63-metre motor yacht Alma III to its charter fleet.

She is the only Azimut Magellano 30 on the charter market.

The 59-metre Benetti motor yacht La Blanca is now available for charter through Northrop & Johnson.

Northrop & Johnson advertised a special offer on charters onboard the 42.6-metre Benetti motor yacht ‘H. Charter ‘H for only €170,000 p/w for charters taking place in September.

Afroudakis Yachting advertised a special offer for charters onboard the 52.10-meter CRN Ancona motor yacht Wind of Fortune. She is available with a 10% discount, plus 5% extra broker commission for filling her remaining gaps.

Ocean Independence advertised a discount on charters onboard the 36.5-metre ISA motor yacht YCM120.

Ocean Independence advertised a deal on the 40-metre Ruth Yachting sailing yacht Alessandro I. She is available in Croatia with a 20% discount.

Travel Inspiration: Athens

Athens, the capital city of Greece, is a city characterised by its historical and cultural richness. The Acropolis is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city and is a must-see for those visiting Athens. History lovers can enjoy the National Archaeological Museum, Greece’s largest museum enriched with details about Greece’s history.

Birthplace of both democracy and the Olympic Games, it is fair to say that Athens has iconic history and influence which spans across neolithic and ancient and classical periods to the present day. These historical eras are reflected in the city’s architectural tapestry.
