TOP STORY

New Year’s Eve in St. Barths

This year, the Yacht Charter Market team celebrated New Year’s Eve in the famous superyacht hotspot of St. Barths. Superyachts covered all the eye could see, with nearly twenty superyachts docked in the Gustavia marina, and over 200 out at anchor. This year’s line-up included some of the world’s biggest, boldest, and most exciting charter yachts.

Some of the superyachts tucked in the Gustavia Marina, both charter and private cruising, included motoryachts Elis et Mar, Bad Romance V, Driftwood, Kisses, Harle, Artemis, and Gene Machine.

Among the charter yachts out at anchor were the iconic 106.7-metre sailing yacht Black Pearl, for charter with IYC, as well as the 88-metre sailing yacht Maltese Falcon, available for charter with Burgess.

Anchored on the shores of St. Barths this New Year is the very first superyacht powered by hydrogen fuel cells: the 118.8-metre motoryacht Breakthrough, for charter with Edmiston. Earlier this year she was sold for a stunning $650.000.000 USD and coined ‘the most significant brokerage deal in history’, according to Edmiston who represented both the seller and buyer.

Also cruising the coast of the Caribbean Island were the 95-metre CC-Summer, for charter with Moran Yachts, the 90.13-metre Luna available exclusively with Large Yacht Co., as well as Bold, an 85.3-metre superyacht for charter with Hill Robinson, and RoMEA, the 81.3-metre Abeking & Rasmussen, for charter with IYC.

Other remarkable charter yachts include the 80-metre Excellence, with her standout downward facing pointed bow, available for charter with Burgess, and Huntress, the 75.6-metre Lürssen available for charter with BGYB.

Also attending the iconic New Year’s Eve celebration are IYC’s 57.03-metre Elis et Mar, caught out cruising about before returning to the Gustavia Marina, and the 72.6-metre James Bond themed Quantum of Solace.

Whether out at anchor and onboard a superyacht, or enjoying the view from the Gustavia marina, lighthouse, or one of the 17 beaches across the island, each spot provided a spectacular view of the 200+ superyachts.

The clear, bright blue sky was a beautiful backdrop to superyachts of all sizes; one can even see the neighbouring island of Saba in the distance, where superyachts, including Black Pearl and Jeff Bezos’ Koru sailed to on the first day of 2026.
