Burgess x Ultima Collection: Changing the game of luxury holidays
Announcing a brand new partnership are Ultima Collection and Burgess, each a high-end agency facilitating luxurious holidays. While Burgess caters to clientele that love to charter onboard a superyacht, Ultima Collection caters to those who love to spend time in ultra-luxury chalets and villas, whether in the Swiss and French Alps, along the Greek Coastline, or on the French Riviera. Now, the two have partnered up for a holiday that effortlessly combines the two, forcing guests to think outside the lines when it comes to their ideal luxury holiday.
While a marketing agency connected the two, it was a shared passion for creating luxury vacations that brought together Burgess’ Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Davis, and Ultima Collection’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sven Flory.

The brands behind the collaboration
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year is Burgess. Creating luxury itineraries onboard superyachts since 1975, Burgess operates in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Bahamas, and the Maldives. With over 120 yachts available in their own fleet, and more available for charter via partnered brokers.
While they are a few decades younger than Burgess, the Swiss-based Ultima Collection has established themselves as a standard for luxury holidays. They have properties all over the Mediterranean, ranging from the peaks of the French Alps to the azure blue waters of Greece. With their ten year anniversary coming up in 2026, a collaboration with Burgess marks the company’s eagerness to bring a new phase of luxury vacationing to life.

Luxury from land to sea
The main element of the partnership between the Swiss based Ultima Collection and the UK-based Burgess is facilitated luxury. They want clients to effortlessly enjoy a holiday that takes them from the tops of the French Alps to the shores of the Mediterranean without having to do any of the planning or worrying about transportation. Whether clients go from villa to superyacht or vice versa, there is a continued element of luxury.
The goal of the collaboration isn’t just a luxurious holiday that can move from land to sea and vice versa. Rather, it’s to get clients to think outside of the box when it comes to luxury holidays. There is no one set way to charter or to vacation, and the two of them want to break boundaries. This teaming up is about raising the consciousness of what a guest can do. It’s about getting them to think bigger than just one experience.
“Getting clients to think that actually it is possible, and that these things should be easy for them. It's not necessarily easy for us as the operators, but that's, that's the beauty of it,” says Tim Davis, CMO of Burgess. It’s about pushing guests to think anything is possible, and then removing the burden of organising it all.

There’s another layer to the timeliness of this new partnership: the Great Wealth Transfer. “There’s a need to appeal to the next generation of yachters. There’s a giant movement of wealth to younger generations happening right now and it’s important to stay relevant and to keep yachting interesting,” says Tim. A standard yachting or villa vacation is no longer enough. The partnership is an attempt to show what modern luxury holidays can look like and how multifaceted they can be.
Yet the reason the partnership works isn’t because of the luxurious superyachts, chalets and villas on offer, but rather Ultima Collection and Burgess’ shared understanding of high net worth clients. Removing the worry of logistics, guests are pushed to think in opportunities rather than limitations. Ultima Collection and Burgess understand that true luxury is not just having everything taken care of, but also having someone understand exactly what is needed. “Our level of expertise is kind of on getting the client to talk about what they want,” says Tim, “it's essentially like speed dating.” Getting to know a client, understanding not just who they want to vacation with, but also the kind of experience they are looking for, allows Burgess x Ultima Collection to curate something that meets all the client’s needs.
Creating a holiday that allows for effortless movement between a luxury holiday on land and sea is only the beginning of this partnership. It is about creating new possibilities for clients, “but also to see where we can take it next,” says Ultima Collection’s Sven.
