This year’s MYBA Charter show also coincided with the 40th anniversary of the MYBA Association, which was celebrated at The Show Opening Cocktail event.
The yachts
There were 58 yachts in attendance at MYBA, with nine of these yachts having a L.O.A. of over 60 metres. That translates into an impressive cumulative length of 2.558 metres. Four tenders were also showcased on the Aquarium Quay.
Carinthia VII
Some of the charter fleet’s finest vessels were present at the show, from 20-metres all the way up to over 90-metres in length. The line up included the 97.20-metre, recently-refitted Lürssen vessel Carinthia VII, the 85.6-metre Derecktor motor yacht Aquila and the brand-new 77-metre Golden Yacht motor yacht Malia.

Attendees
The show committee counted a total of 1030 attendees. Included in this total were 570 brokers. 69 exhibiting companies were based shoreside and their stands were manned by 340 people.
On top of the 1030 attendees, 573 crew members worked tirelessly as part of the core structure of the show ensure everything ran smoothly.
Brand new offerings
MYBA introduced two new features, the Crew Lounge and the Tasting Lounge & Bar. Exciting seminars took place, addressing key issues and topics such as discussions on how to mitigate brokers’ liability and updates on EU VAT charter rules.
Back to Genoa
After five successful years in Barcelona, the MYBA Charter Show took place this year in Genoa. Raphael Sauleau, MYBA President and CEO of IYC, told Yacht Charter Market, “The relocation of the MYBA Show to Genoa is not just a change in geography, but also a celebration of a maritime heritage and a homage to the city's deep-rooted connection with the sea.”
He continued, “This move is an opportunity to spotlight Genoa's unique blend of historical significance and modern luxury, reinforcing its status as a global maritime hub part of the West Mediterranean yachting epicentre.”
